Gift Card Terms

Gift cards on this website are sold by:

In these terms, “we” and “us” means KiwiCutz, and “you” means the person who buys a card or anyone they give it to.

KiwiCutz gift cards

A KiwiCutz gift card holds an amount in euro for barbering services by Ciarán “Kiwi” O’Sullivan. To book, email ciaran@kiwicutz.com or call +353 86 318 0536, and bring your gift card code: Ciarán takes the cost off your bill in the shop.

Pints & Ponytails gift cards

A Pints & Ponytails gift card holds a number of tickets. Each ticket covers one person’s entry to one Pints & Ponytails night, whatever that night’s ticket price. To book, email ciaran@kiwicutz.com with the night you’d like, how many tickets you’re using and your gift card code. Places are subject to availability: if a night is full, the tickets can be used for another one. Upcoming nights are on our Events page.

Prices are in euro and include VAT. You’ll see the price on the Gift Cards page, when you check your order, and on the payment page before you pay. There are no fees: not for buying a card, using it or cancelling it.

You pay on Stripe’s secure payment page, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. We never see your full card number.

1. On the Gift Cards page, choose a card and an amount (or how many tickets), and tell us who it’s for and how it should arrive.
2. Check your order on the next step. You can go back and fix anything before you pay.
3. Pay on Stripe’s secure payment page.
4. When your payment is confirmed, the contract between you and us is made, and we email you your order and the gift card.

We keep a record of your order, and the order email we send you has all its details.

Gift cards are sent by email only, as a PDF you can print or pass on. Nothing is posted, and delivery is free. When you buy, you choose:

• Email it to them: we email the card to the person it’s for, straight away or on a date you choose, up to a year ahead (it arrives that morning, from 9am Irish time). You get your order email, with a copy of the card, straight away.
• Email it to me: only you get it, to print or pass on yourself.

If an email doesn’t arrive, check the spam folder, then contact us and we’ll send it again.

Every card is valid for 5 years from the day it’s bought. The expiry date is printed on the card and in our emails.

• A card can be used over several visits or bookings. Whatever isn’t used stays on the card for next time, until it expires.
• You can use several gift cards together.
• There are no fees of any kind.
• Anyone who has the code can use the card, so it can be given away. Keep the code safe: whoever has it can spend it.
• Apart from your right to cancel (below) and your other legal rights, a gift card can’t be exchanged for cash.

If a card is lost, contact us. We can send it again to the email address of the person who bought it, with the same code and the same expiry date. We can’t give back anything that was already used with the code.

If you bought a gift card, you can cancel your order within 14 days of buying it, without giving any reason, and get a full refund, as long as the gift card hasn’t been used. The 14 days start on the day you buy (the day the contract is made).

How to cancel

Tell us before the 14 days are up, in any clear way. For example:

• reply to your order email saying you want to cancel;
• email ciaran@kiwicutz.com; or
• send us the model cancellation form below, by email or by post. You don’t have to use it.

To meet the deadline, it’s enough to send your message before the 14 days are up. Please include your order number (it starts with GC-) if you have it.

Your refund

We refund everything you paid without undue delay, and at the latest within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card or account you paid with. You won’t pay any fees for the refund. The gift card is cancelled at the same time, and any email still due to go to the person it’s for isn’t sent.

Cards that have been used

Once a gift card has been used, even in part, the order can no longer be cancelled and isn’t refunded. Whatever is left on the card can still be used until it expires.

None of this affects your other legal rights.

If we stop providing what a card is for (barbering by Ciarán, or Pints & Ponytails nights) before it expires, we’ll refund what’s left on it: the unused balance, or the price paid for any unused tickets.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has information about your rights as a consumer at ccpc.ie.

We use the details you give us only for your order and the gift card. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.

These terms are in English, and Irish law applies to them. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may change these terms for future orders. Your order stays under the version you agreed to when you bought it (the version is shown at the top of this page).

Complete and return this form only if you want to cancel your order. Copy it into an email to ciaran@kiwicutz.com, or print it and post it to us.

For the gift card, write which card it was and the order number if you have it, for example “KiwiCutz gift card, €50, order GC-1001”.
